Hey. My name is Katie and I am studying the honeybee. I chose to study this species because since I was stung at age 8 I have been scared of bees. I am observing bees in the garden at my school. Specifically, in and around a hive that has been set up and around a few types of flowers that they seem particularly attracted to. I am fascinated by the bees' intelligence. They have such defined social order and they communicate very well with each other. Outside of the Biology classroom, I love to go to the beach and my favorite food is Pad Thai.
